DBSK Changmin Does a Shake & Kisses a Robot

<SORRY, I FORGOT TO PUT THIS AS “PUBLISHED” SO ITS REALLY LATE>

TVXQ / DBSK was on Star King today and apparently Changmin stole the show.

He was asked to shake and sing at the same time, following the little girls example. He seemed embarrassed and squinted with mismatching eyes (one eye bigger than the other). He also gave the little girl a sweet hug.

He was then asked to kiss an android / robot, and he did so with hesitation. The robot had a smirk after he kissed it.

SHINee chosen to be a model of a cosmetic brand, Nanasubi brandAt an LG meeting on the 24th, they said “5 teenagers, all in the idol band SHINee, have signed a contract to model cosmetics of the brand ‘Nanasubi’ which were made for teenagers, and will be modelling it for one year.”

Recently the members of SHINee who are becoming more and more popular, with their music, fashion and dance that appeal well to teenagers.

LG said “Using SHINee as our models, we have a good plan to make lots of sales of these products to female teenagers with skin troubles,” and “We will use the group SHINee for marketing and selling of this product for teenagers.”

In the coming December, SHINee will start appearing in CFs and photo-shoots advertising ‘Nanasubi’ for the year.

It has only been as short time since they have debuted, yet they have won the award for Korean Entertainment Arts Award – ‘Rookie Award’, Asia Song Festival – ‘Asia’s Best Newcomer Award’, Style Icon Awards – ‘New Icon Award’ and Mnet Korean Music Festival – ‘Best Male Rookie Award’ and are getting lots of attention as stars.

SNSD Visits VOS’ Choi Hyunjoons House & Cant Raise Their Heads

So Nyuh Shi Dae’s Tiffany, Sooyoung ,and Yuri visited VOS’s Choi Hyunjoon’ house and could not raise their heads.

While working as Elle Girl intern editors on MNet “Factory Girl” the chief editor asked them to get an interview with the concept of “a bachelor’s life story”. The reason why So Nyuh Shi Dae was unable to raise their heads when visiting Choi Hyunjoon’s house was that his book cases and closets were just as clean as a girl’s room.

Sooyoung and Tiffany stated that, “It’s honestly cleaner than our closets. The more I look around his room, the more embarrassed I get,” and gave showered him with praise while looking around. By seeing every fans’ present neatly laid out, we were able to see Choi Hyunjoon’s tidy nature.

When So Nyuh Shi Dae asked him out of all his clothes and accessories which was the most valuable to him, he proudly opened his closet and took out a red Park Jisung jersey. He said, “It was a gift from a fan. Since it is a one of a kind Park Jisung signed jersey, I can’t wear it around, but I treasure it here. Even now I continue collecting and have even started designing/producing,” and announced his designed shoes through the show.

Meanwhile, the 9 members of So Nyuh Shi Dae attended the Marc Jacobs show, and were able to directly interview in the show as fashion editors. Yoona, especially, was able to go backstage and interview the model Song Kyungah.

Sooyoung “Girl..Meet a Movie”

SNSD Sooyoung has been immersed “into the new world” of <Soonjung Manhwa>. She was an ardent fan of the original comic book that has now been adapted into the movie <Soonjung Manhwa>. Let’s meet Sooyoung at her first formal entry into acting in <Soonjung Manhwa>.

Her Admiration for Kangfull’s work

– How does your debut on the big screen feel?

To be honest, I feel more happy that I was able to be a part of <Soonjung Manhwa> than the fact that I was able to participate in just any movie. I became such of a big fan of writer Kangfull three years ago when I read the comic books, but the big screen adaptation is so great. It’s so meaningful that I was able to be a part of his work

– Do you like Kangfull’s work?

Before I debuted with SNSD, I did an audition to be in Kangfull’s <Babo>. I played the part of Cha Taehyun’s dongseng but, regrettably, I didn’t make the part. After I left the audition, I emailed writer Kangfull that, “One day, if fate would have it, I really want to meet you again.” And then he replied to my email saying, “I will cheer for you so work hard.” At that moment, tears formed in my eyes.

– It must’ve felt special meeting writer Kangfull on site for the movie. (Kangfull makes a cameo in the movie)

I met him for the first time during a test shot for the movie and I really was so amazed. I arrived a little late, so people were telling me to just eat, but then someone behind me tapped me on the shoulders and said “Miss Sooyoung, I’m Kangfull.” At that moment, I was so moved that I cried. It seems like a miracle that I was able to meet Kangfull. (laughs)

– Who is the character that you play?

She isn’t in the original book, but she’s been added for the movie adaptation. She’s a girl student named Dajung and she’s a friend to Sooyoung (played by Lee Yeonhee). Through Dajung’s help, you can see Sooyoung have a change of emotions.

– Since you’re still currently a high school student, wasn’t it burdensome playing one on the screen? (Sooyoung is currently a senior at Jungshin Girls’ School)

The director directly told me to not focus on acting, but to just behave as if I was really in school. So I went to my class and closely observed my friends’ conversations and behaviors. (laughs) Although it was my first time in a movie, it was nice and comfortable.

Girl… Lives out her Dream

– You debuted in Japan at the age of thirteen. Was being a performer always your dream?

Actually, never in my dreams did I think I would be a performer. But for some reason, whenever we had performances at school, I always felt like I had to do them. (laughs) Ever since then, I think the seed of performing was planted in me. (laughs) Rather than saying it’s always been my dream, you could say I am living out my dream now.

– This was your first time stepping into the acting world. How did it feel stepping out in front of the camera?

When I first went to audition for this movie, I cried in the middle of my acting, but later the director told me “I saw purity and honesty” and said that was the reason I was casted. It was so comfortable for me because he believed in me and left it up to me. When I told people that the set was so comfortable, they said movie sets usually feel heavy and sensitive but perhaps since the movie title had the word “soon” (pure) in it, maybe it just felt pure and comfortable from the beginning.

– This must have been an especially meaningful experience for you, since you were able to be a part of writer Kangfull’s work, when you were such a big fan of his. How do you wish the audience would feel after watching this movie?

<Soonjung Manhwa> is a warm and touching movie. It’s a story about a special love shared between common people, but anyone will be able to sympathize with it. I hope people get the same warm feeling from this movie as they got from the movie <Love Actually>.

– You were accepted into a university this year. You’re probably excited about campus life. How does it feel?

To be honest, I don’t think I’ll be able to fully enjoy university life. I want to go to meetings like all the other normal students, but most likely… (laughs) But regardless, I’m excited for university life.

– When we will be able to hear SNSD’s second album?

All the members are working hard and preparing for it right now. Most likely, our second album will come out for our fans at the beginning of next year.

DBSK Album Sales, SNSD in The Mix

Dong Bang Shin Ki sold over 30 thousand CDs and took first in the month of september. The leaders of September, Dong Bang Shin Ki is solidifying their place as the CD selling king.

According the the 2008 September CD sales rankings that the Korean Music Industry Association released, Dong Bang Shin Ki’s release of “Jumun-Mirotic” sold 37,974 albums in the month of september and took first. With the exceptional sales, Dong Bang Shin Ki looks to be a favorite for 2008’s record champion.

The sale of over 30,000 albums, until 2008 Dong Bang Shin Ki, was unprecedented. Last August, the idol group Big Bang sold just over 10,000 albums and claimed the album sales title for that month. The Music Industry Association stated that Dong Bang Shin Ki, being the only artist to top 20,000 albums sold in 2008, will be 1st for most albums sold.

In the September album sales, Big Bang’s 3rd mini album “stand Up” was 2nd with 35,985, So Nyuh Shi Dae’s 1st official album “So Nyuh Shi Dae” was 3rd with 1,656 sold, and Kim Dong Ryul’s 5th album “Monologue” was 4th with 1,610 albums sold.

Wonder Girls News Wrap Up

The Wonder Girls revealed that the person they most wanted to have a special stage with was global popstar Rain. Sun Mi expressed, “We also want to be on wire (Rain had made his entrance on wire for his performance) and it seems to be a very fantasy-like thing to be doing the wire thing together with Rain.” When asked by the MC what concept would Sun Mi have while doing the wire thing, she replied, “It would be great if we wore taekwondo uniforms while doing that”, showing her 4-dimensional character once again.

They also talked about Big Bang and Lee Hyori special performance, especially the kiss between T.O.P. and Hyori which made headlines for several days. The Wonder Girls were also very envious of Lee Hyori’s sexiness.

The Wonder Girls also revealed behind the stories snippets from the 2008 MKMF. The Wonder Girls who teared freely after winning the big award expressed, “Although we have the desire, but we really never thought we would also win the Daesang (Song of the Year) after winning Best Female Group and MV. Compared to on stage, we teared even more off the stage.”

They also talked about what happened after winning the awards. They got a call from their boss Park Jin Young who was in America, “Congratulations. Must work even harder”, showing encouragement. The Wonder Girls expressed, “Usually we just eat side pork but we ordered spare ribs that day.”

Yoobin Will Make A Cameo Appearance on Sitcom

Remember the sitcom cameo that So Hee did earlier for MBC That Person Is Coming? Guess what, Yoo Bin will also have a cameo role where she will form a triangle relationship with JunJin and Seo Young Hee in the sitcom.

Fans are anticipating for Yoo Bin’s cameo role especially since So Hee had a successful cameo the last time round. Yoo Bin’s character will come in between JunJin’s PD character and Lee Young Hee (Seo Young Hee). And just like what Yoo Bin did to T.O.P. in last year’s SBS Gayo Daejun drama skit, stealing him from Sun Ye, she will do the same thing to JunJin, creating lots of funny moments as she launches love attacks on JunJin to get his attention.

Yoo Bin already being typecast as a 3rd party?

In the sitcom thus far, JunJin has been playing a fiery television producer who is at loggerheads with the primma donna star Lee Young Hee (Seo Young Hee) but of course they have an affection for each other. Exactly how will Yoo Bin’s cameo appearance affect their relationship remains to be seen.

Yoo Bin will film her scenes on 1st December and is set for broadcast towards the end of Decmber. The Wonder Girls will be on Music Bank today.
