Alex and Shin Ae will say goodbye to We Got Married for the second time.
Alex and Shin Ae filmed their last outdoor shoot on 29th October for MBC We Got Married at the Acoustical Society of Korea located at Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu. 60 fans from the Alshin fanclub attended in the format of a fanmeeting as Alex and Shin Ae left the show in their own special way.

This november 1st there will be Mnet’s ‘Bachelor Dates’ where LeeTeuk is the MC. He stated that he is happy with the etching ‘Professional Dating MC’.
Mnet’s ‘Lovefighter’ and the MBC Dramanet ‘Boom Up’ followed by ‘Bachelor Dates’ are all with deep dating related topics and of which LeeTeuk has been MC. He says “I like the title ‘Professional dating MC’. Last time when I did ‘Love fighter’ I felt really bad because a lot of people broke up, but this time in ‘Bachelor Dates’ I get the role of matchmaking so I feel good about it’.

It was revealed on 4th November that SunYe, YoonAh and Joo has successfully been selected for the year 2009. They were selected for the arts (acting) faculty.

Big Bang member TOP (21) was admitted to Seoul HeukSeokDong Central Hospital on 5th November at 1pm in the afternoon.
It was said that it was due to overwork and exhaustion and TOP has been told to rest in the hospital.
5th November is also the day that Big Bang releases their 2nd official album ‘Remember’, they have been busy practising with the preparation for their comeback right after their Japanese concert performances throughout the whole of October.
A representative from YG Entertainment said at the hospital, “The situation is not very serious, hence their comeback performance on the 8th will still take place.”
MBC Drama, ‘My Name Is Kim Sam Soon’ that starred Kim Sun Ah and Hyun Bin is undergoing a Hollywood Remake.
American Television network, NBC TV secured the rights to produce the remake as a prime time series.
Korean movies such as ‘Il Mare’ ‘My Sassy Girl’ and others have undergone Hollywood remakes before but this will be the first time that a remake drama will be televised.

Big Bang member TOP has been discharged 1 day after admitting into the hospital on 6th November at 2pm.
YG Entertainment said on 6th November, “After the health examination this morning, it was said that TOP’s situation has improved, and that he will be able to be discharged from the hospital today (6th November).”
DBSK, Big Bang, Rain, Kim Jong Kuk and the Wonder Girls will take the stage together on the 9th at 4pm at the Seoul Olympic Park to “Spread the Love.”
These top stars will be performing at a concert sponsored by Nongshim (Ramen company) at the “2008 Nongshim Spread the Love concert (2008 농심 사랑나눔 콘서트).”
All that’s required to attend the concert? A donation of 2 packs of Nongshim Shin ramen, which Nongshim will then add onto their 1,000 boxes of Shin ramen and donate to the poor via the Red Cross Societ
The Wonder Girls were in Singapore this past Tuesday night for the Korean Pop Night 2008 performing their hit songs Tell Me and Nobody to a crowd of 6000 as the Singapore Indoor Stadium turned into a giant karaoke room.
The crowd of nearly 6000 sang along with the Wonder Girls and gave the loudest cheers to them on a night where different Korean singers had put on a showcase lasting nearly 2 hours for Singaporeans and Koreans living there.
Now this was a surprise. I thought it was just a simple reality program by Mnet in a kitchen. But it was made known today that the reality program is actually sponsored and made possible by Crown Bakery, a Korean bakery franchise.
Kang Minkyung (Davichi), Lee HongKi (FT Island) Jo Kwon (2AM), and Chan Sung(2PM) will be taking their university entrance exams this year. Exam day traditionally falls on the first coldest day of the Fall/Winter. Even if they don’t do too well, they can probably get into a school anyways. A second tier university would probably be happy to accept them.Speaking of which, there are a few girl group members who will be entering university next term. JYP’s singer Joo, Girls Generation member Yoona and Wondergirls’ Sun Ye have been accepted to Dong-guk University. And Girls Generation’s Sooyoung will be at Chung-Ang University.

081108: KangTeuk moments during Super Junior’s Third Anniversary Party
A friend of KTPA’s Yoyo attended Super Junior’s Third Anniversary Party, and witnessed these events herself. Her friend could only remember these KangTeuk moments clearly, but she said that the entire party was full of KangTeuk moments.
1. During the first segment of the party, the members picked questions or statements from fans to read out loud. The question that Lee Teuk picked was this: “Are KangTeuk really dating?” Lee Teuk started to talk about how Super Junior has KangTeuk and EunHae. Then, Kang In began to touch Lee Teuk a lot. [He] touched Lee Teuk’s face, fixed Lee Teuk’s hair, and touched him many times. At the end, he even pulled Lee Teuk into his embrace.
2. When the cake was being cut, it looked like Kang In smeared icing from the cake onto Lee Teuk’s lips.
3. Kang In talked about how Lee Teuk has not been acting normally lately. He told everyone not to be concerned about it, because “[Lee Teuk] is out of his mind, that’s all.”
4. Kang In was very excited, and ran around a lot.

SS501 will hold the fan meeting on November 15th at Seoul’s Olympic Fencing Stadium, where the fan meeting will held in a mini concert format composed of 11 tracks with SS501’s hit tracks and solo numbers by the members. Lee Hyori’s fans are begging the pop diva to add an additional showing of her concert due to the recent sell out.
Hyori’s upcoming concert will be her first solo concert since her debut 10 years ago. And since this is her first concert ever, she wants everything to be perfect and deliver an exceptional performance.
Being that it will be a 2.5 – 3 hour solo concert, her management company feels that an additional concert may be too exhausting for the pop diva. However, they stated that Hyori will give it serious thought before making her final decision.
The Brown Eyed Girls were taken to the hospital on the 11th, during the filming of KBS2 TV’s “Open Concert (열린음악회).”
Plagued with exhaustion and colds, all of the members were in bad condition. During the shoot, the girls were taken to the hospital to receive IV treatments, and were advised to rest. It seems Big Bang has been surpassing DBSK in both sale records and chart topping songs but they actually ended up significantly behind DBSK as far as the MKMF music voting chart shows.

Kim Chang Wan who debuted 30 years ago and Epik High transcends generations as they decorate the stage in joint performance.
Their joint stage will illustrate the role and history of Korean music within the last 50 years. The main cast and production team of KBS2TV Boys Before Flowers will head to America next week for overseas filming lasting for around 10 days.
Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum, Kim Joon, Lee Min Ho and Goo Hye Sun will reach New York early next week and is expected to film for around 10 days around famous tourist attractions in the city. According to the PDs, they would be mainly filming scenes revolving around F4 and Yeon Woo (Goo Hye Sun) with the famous landmarks of New York serving as a backdrop (those living in New York should try walking around and spot them if you have the time and patience).
FT Island will be having their 2nd album ‘Colorful Sensibility’ commemorative concert on 27th and 28th December in Seoul. With that they will also perform in 3 other cities for a concert tour.

On November 12th, Super Junior was awared with a “Special Award” at the 15th Annual Korean Entertainment Arts Award held at Sungnam Art Center Opera House.
Since all 13 members can not be present to accept the award, the two DJs of Sukira Kiss the Radio. Leeteuk and Eunhyuk accepted the awards on behalf of the the group.

Since the sell out of tickets for Lee Hyori’s ticket solo concert, fans have been asking for one more day. Lee Hyori’s management thought this would be too exhausting for her and couldn’t go with the plan.
Hyori took some hours to think about this. She thought how exhausting she would be when she was done, but she mostly thought of her fans. Lee Hyori made a final decision to add an extra day, to keep her fans entertained.
This additional day has been scheduled to be on November 19. The tickets for this day is already sold out, but there will also be days they will sell more tickets

At DNBN, there’s a news article (the boys must have given an interview after MKMF) that says that Changmin said he cried because of mainly relief. He was worried whether or not their fans would be supportive of them like before with their new album since they had been gone so long.
Also, their new album is more mature and they put a lot of effort into this album (I think it really means A LOT to them personally) and when they won album of the year, he could not hold back the tears. Yunho, who did not want to cry, shouted out to the Cassies instead (so like leadershii.. you don’t always have to be so strong) during the speech.

The trio showed themselves through the fanmeeting event.. they will continue to use SS501 as their team name.
3 of the 5 members from SS501, Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong, Kim HyungJoon was made into trio SS501, revealing themselves for the first time.
SS501’s fanmeeting cum mini concert held on the 15th afternoon at Seoul Songpa-gu, Bangee-dong, Olympic Fencing stadium, the 3 members showed themselves as a trio project group in front of their fans.
The 3 members performed 2 of the 7 songs from their project album which will be on sale soon, including “Want It” and “Your Man”, etc.
The 3 members were a little different from when they were with the 5 members, wearing shirts and suits which supplements their manly beauty and touch up the stage gorgeously. Their songs are of course, strong and masculine.
After their performance, the members had an interview with nocutnews. They said “In order to show our superb appearance, we had been working a lot on it. We wanted to show our fans what we have been preparing, and so we made our stage today.”
Initially the 3 members wanted to use the team name “Triple S”, however in order not to lose the symbolism of the name SS501, they’ve decided to use ‘SS501’ just like when they’re doing activities as 5 members.
The 5 members held a fanmeeting after 3 years and displayed each of their own attractiveness.
Park JungMin received loud cheers from the fans when he showed a little of his acting for the role of ‘Danny’ for the huge musical stage ‘Grease’, which he will transform himself into a musical actor from 21st onwards.
Park JungMin said “I’ve wanted to become an actor initially, and when I went into my current company, they told me ‘Singer is someone who acts on stage’, and I debut first as a singer. I am working hard to debut as an actor.”
Park JungMin said to his fans “There is kiss scene in the musical” which startled them.
Kim HyunJoong who transformed into an actor through KBS drama ‘Boys over Flowers’ said “I exercise a lot these days due to filming of the drama.” And showed a little of his solid forearm muscles.
Kim HyunJoong said “Even though I’m a little awkward in acting initially, but I am getting better at it slowly. Just like JungMin, I am also working hard on it.”
Kim HyunJoong also spoke of a surprise “From the scripts that I’ve received so far, there are 2 kiss scenes.”

While Korea’s MKMF Awards was going at the same time in Seoul, Fuzhou, China held an award ceremony of their own. SM Entertainment’s artists won in their respective categories: ZhangLi Yin for Best Mainland Newcomer, and Super Junior-M for Most Popular Group.
Both artists performed after receiving their awards. Zhang Li Yin sang “Believe in Love”, the featured song on her upcoming repackage album, while Super Junior-M performed “Me”, their latest featured single from their first album.

Questions have been hovering for quite sometime now will soon be laid to rest hopefully. Will Super Junior release their third album early next year?
ELF predict a huge comeback blast of Super Junior early next year which will surely jolt us of passivity.
In a recent Super Junior Day, Lee Teuk said “We won’t settle for a safe answer but we will work some more for the third album.” Some fans asked the boys to give them an idea of what sort of album would it be like. Lee Teuk hesitates to reply but eventually gives in “Oh it’s going to be Global Su Ju.” (laughs). “I think it’s being realistic because all of us are on a subgroup around Asia and we also have been participating in US activities like Hollywood Bowl.”
Describing it as a collaborative work, Lee Teuk will miss browsing through his personal blog on Cyworld and checking the often messages in his inbox. “I have been receiving messages about our third album.” he says.
The countdown begins. The final month of this year 2008 may well be ELF’s last few moments to long for the 13 members together and cheer up on the coming year.
The workaholic boys of Super Junior find themselves caught between a subgroup schedules and making their third album which for them is more challenging as they are getting more inspired by the number of fans waiting for them.
Big Bang will be going on an American tour next February.
Big Bang said in their recent interview, “Our activities will continue until end-January and we are planning to go on a 2-3 months rest. Ever since debut, we didn’t really have the time to rest in between our activities and schedule. We need to take time out to ‘recharge’.”
It was also added, “It was decided between the members to go to America. We thought to study more on dance and music in America.”
“Even though this is like a vacation, there is no time for play. We have to study more on dance, music and even English language. We have singer Se7en and also our YG producers in America. These people seemed like they have a lot of work there.”

Yoobin and Ye-Eun from Wonder Girls and Kyujong and Hyungjoon from SS501’s result from matchmaking was revealed.
On 16th, during MBC variety show ‘We Got Married,’ Hwangbo and Kim Hyunjoong couple invited members from SS501 and Wonder Girls and became their matchmakers. Yoobin and Ye-Eun from Wonder Girls, and Kyujong and Hyungjoon from SS501 started to get closer as they played games and showed friendly atmosphere.

First of all, TOP (sshi) your kiss scene has become one of the headlines in the news. How have you come to doing that?
- TOP: Well… when we were organizing the performance, we coincidently came up with that idea… just coincidently. This is sort of a topic that is difficult to talk about (laughs)
There are five members in Big Bang, but is there a special reason for TOP to be involved in this scene?
- SR: Because of the fact that the person who is involved in this scene had to have an excellent acting skills, we thought that TOP was suitable for this scene.
Whose idea was it to perform Seung Ri’s “U go Girl”?
- SR: Hyo Ri noona made a suggestion on making a guy version of U Go Girl, and apparently she chose me. I don’t know the reason she chose me though…. (laughs)
To get into the main topic, we were curious of something. Is ‘sunset glow’ a remake or a sampling? (I don’t know the difference between two)
- SR: It’s sampling of course. You can see it the same way as to what Se7en (hyung) has sampled Seo Tae Ji’s “I know (Nan Al A yo).” We just copied the chorus, and everything else was different than the original song.
We know that Big Bang is very well known for their creativity. Weren’t there some contrast in opinions, to make the title song of the album to be a new song?
- TY: In our first album, the title song “Dirty Cash” was focusing on money and gold. But this album we wanted to talk a lot more of society and the community.
When CEO Yang Hyun Suk, suggested Sunset glow as the title song, we were not really supportive of the idea. However, the song itself came out to be good, and as it is a whole album, we wanted to have the adults listen to our song as well. We have recorded this song when our 3rd mini album came out, but we have saved it for it to become the title song of a full album.
Since it is a full album, you guys will work on it for a long period of time. Am I right?
- TY: We are going to have our concert of this album next year on January. Until then, we will be working a lot and after that, we are planning to go to the states.
But, G-dragon, you seem to look sick.
- GD: No, it’s just that yesterday (17th) I have been sleeping a lot in a while, and my eyes started to sore. We didn’t have a schedule for the whole day, so I just slept a lot.
- TOP: Everyone only slept. Because we seem to be stressed out and we are not nervous anymore
Knowing the way to fight against your sleep was improved. Am I right?
- TY: Sleep doesn’t seem to be the opponent we should fight against. When you are sleepy, you should sleep. (laughs) For a while, whenever we had spare time left, we would hang around, but nowadays, whenever we have time we always seem to be sleeping.
Singer Lee Min Woo (M) of Shinhwa revealed on cable TV tvN talk show “Taxi” that Lee Soo Man offered him to be a solo artist before Shinhwa debuted.
Lee Min Woo said, “At the time that Shinhwa members were forming, Lee Soo Man told me, ‘You are really hardworking. Would you like to be in a group? Would you like to be a solo?’ he asked.” But Lee Min Woo was already familiar with being in a group and he felt pressure so he turned down Lee Soo Man’s proposal.

Shinhwa member Lee Min Woo has admitted that he is dating Amy and expressed, “We are now in the phase of getting to know each other.”

With less than ideal ratings for the past few months, the PDs of MBC star wedding variety We Got Married held a press conference yesterday together with 2 of it’s newer couples, Marco and Son Dambi, Hwanhee and Hwayobi, announcing a format change and season 2 of We Got Married.
Apart from revealing the headlines, the PDs did not reveal much. Other than parading the 2 couples Marco and Son Dambi, Hwanhee and Hwayobi, they also revealed that a new couple will be scouted. This is to make up for the departure of Hwang Bo and Kim Hyun Joong whose last episode would be in mid-December. Season 2 will thus be made up of Crown J and Seo In Young, Marco and Son Dambi, Hwanhee and Hwayobi plus an additional couple.
To address concerns that she might exit the show because of her Hollywood movie filming, Son Dambi expressed, “This December, the movie representatives are coming to Korea. I am also learning dancing from a cheoreographer, studying acting and learning English. I know that we are filming a fair part (of the movie) in Korea, so I think I can film We Got Married and the movie at the same time.” (many thanks to Kay for translation)
A format change usually signals a vote of no confidence. I can only think back to the past where Xman and Heroine 6 went through changes and ultimately ended up in history. There are of course always exceptions definitely.
And that’s it. Considering how flippant the We Got Married PDs are, anything could happen. They usually say this today but then another thing happens the next week. So it’s quite sketchy where it comes to We Got Married.

It seems like the drama of this year’s MKMF absolutely refuses to disappear. Netizens are buzzing about the various idol groups’ reactions when Moon Hee Jun received the MKMF 10th anniversary commemorative award on behalf of the ancestor of boy bands, H.O.T.
Fancams of Moon Hee Jun’s acceptance of the award surfaced on the internet recently. The video showed that none of the idol groups stood up other than the elder statesman of the new generation of artists, DBSK. The rest of the idol groups just clapped nonchalantly in their seats. Dong Bang Shin Ki is looking to break the 3-year record of 400,000 album sales with their comeback.
A SM Entertainment representative said, “Dong Bang Shin Ki’s 4th album ‘MIROTIC’ album sales have achieved a total of 360,000 copies by end-October. And their 4th album repackaged version released here on the 12th has also achieved 10,000 copies album sales. All these add up will add up to 400,000 copies easily.”
This is considered feat achieved since there is no one artiste who managed to achieve more than 200,000 album sales for last year. Dong Bang Shin Ki managed to sell 360,000 copies of their 3rd album in 2006. This record was not achieved by any artiste again this 2 years.
Dong Bang Shin Ki will also be the next to break the record set by SG Wannabe with their 2nd album sales of 410,000 copies in 2005.

People waiting for Girls’ Generation / SNSD new album that was rumored to be released this month will have to wait some more. According to various sources on soshified (bug / soy), SNSD own member Sooyoung confirmed this when she said the new album is coming out in early 2009 at the DokDoSarang concert. So why would the album be delayed again?
The main speculation on the reason for the delay being that SNSD wouldn’t be eligible for any of the awards of 2009 if they released the album now. In addition, some of the groups such as Big Bang will be taking a break during that time frame

Super Junior is releasing a new photobook and calendar for E.L.F.s out there. This package also contains a DVD of the boys spreading “mischief” and “mayhem” in the city of Tokyo.

TVXQ member Xiah Junsu was embarassed because of Super Junior’s Eunhyuk on SBS’S JeolChin Notes. This day, during filming, the stars had to call their best friends.
Xiah Junsu introduced Eunhyuk as his “jeol chin,” and then proceeded to make the call. He asked, “What’s our relationship? We’re brothers right?” To finish the mission he asked again, “What’s our relationship?” Eunhyuk said, “Normal relationship.” “Not jeol chin, just normal friends,” embarassing Junsu.
Shin Jung Hwan expressed with regrets, “I have splitted with my (now former) girlfriend recently with whom I had dated with marriage in my mind.”

GQ Korea released their list of the Men of the Year and this time Big Bang’s Taeyang, found himself topping the list. Here are some highlights of the interview:
Taeyang is the only member of Big Bang who hasn’t passed out or sprained anything. He attributes it to being healthy and working out often. When the interviewer jokes that it’s because he’s healthy, doesn’t drink, goes to church every week and isn’t funny Taeyang replies that he is funny. But then goes on to say that people laugh at him when he’s trying to be serious.
Further into the interview GQ asks him about his boyish image being so prominent, to which Taeyang replies, “I am worried about that too; people always see me as this same image: straightforward, constant, changeless. But I won’t always be like that.”
The mini Big Banger is also worried about falling into temptation as he gets older. Taeyang then talks about a cocktail “that you drink with straw after you light it on fire”.

GDragon: We try to convey a message of hope for many people who are feeling wary of reality. Had wanted to do this since some time back and I had a talk with Yang president. So we took up the challenge and did the remake of this famous song.
Q: Helping the residents who are also the victims of the oil spill in the West Coast as the subject of your MV is really some refreshing.
TaeYang: We wanted to help out with the oil spill since last year but we couldn’t and it was a shame.”
GDragon: Even though we released a lot of minialbums, we try to put in a message for our full-length album. The release of our 1st album ‘Dirty Cash’ looked at the society at the time of a economy crisis. And for this 2nd album, we want to put in the message of hope.”
Q: You released albums after albums without rest.
TaeYang: Because we don’t want to forget. (Laugh) It will not be right if we take a rest. It seems that it is luck on our part that we can continuously release albums. And we thought it is something that we should do to produce enjoyable music at the right time to the masses.
Q: It seems that you guys have as little as no rest since your debut. When will your long vacation come?
SeungRi: It seems we can’t rest for even a day. But we would think that busy is a good thing too. We can’t do much to the fact that we are tired. We are in fact thankful that we can be this busy.
Q: What if, you are given 2 days of rest?
GDragon: I’d like to go to the amusement park with my friends. And I’d like to eat ddeok bbokki on the streets in a place with many people like in MyongDong. It’s been like 4 years since I last did this.”
TaeYang: Me too. When I was still a trainee with JiYoungie, we have a lot of fun taking the subway together to go for our training.
SeungRi: I would like to ride through the streets of MyongDong on a bicycle. I have been wanting to ride a bicycle a lot lately.
TOP: I’d like to find a quiet place and sleep during these 2 days. This is the practical way. Right now, we have to meet so many people in a day, this can be a rather tiring lifestyle.
After performing in Seoul South Korea and Bangkok Thailand, Super Junior have successfully finished their third destination of their 1st Asia Tour Super Show at the Shanghai Dai Stage in China yesterday November 22, 2008.

Rain’s 5th album title song ‘Rainism’ has been classified as unhealthy media material for teenagers by the South Korean government’s family health welfare association.
With this taking effect, from 24th November onwards, the song can only be present on music sites and charts as the ‘clean’ version. And for broadcasting purposes, the song will also have to be changed to the ‘clean’ version. And Rain may also be barred from performing the song during any public performances.
Under the 10th clause of the teenager preservation law, any media content that aims to stimulate any sex-appealing sensations or has obscenity in it have to conform to the law.
The clean version will change the part of the song that goes ‘inside your shaking body, my magic stick spins’ and ‘Feel the rhythm of my heart digging (Now feel my soul)” will be changed to ‘The body shake that is no longer feeling the boundaries (더 이상 넘어갈 수 없는 한곌 느낀 바디 쉐이크)’ and ‘Our one and only Rainism (너와 나 하나되 어외치는 나만의 레이니즘)’.
Rain’s company J Tune Entertainment voiced, “But the song was planned awhile back by Rain so as to fit his idea of ‘Stick performance’ and had used the lyrics to fit the song. There was no intentions to stimulate any sex-appealing sensations or obscenity.”
With the law taking effect from 24th November, the company had rushed to correct that part of the song and had distributed it online on music sites, and will also use it for public performances or performances on broadcast programs.
Some netizens have said, “This is so contradicting since they are many influencing media out there like dramas that have also influenced teenagers a lot in terms of violent or sex scenes.”
“But there is no way but to accept this arrangement. We are not agreeing to the allegation about the content to the song lyrics but this is to make sure that Rain’s activities can still go on.”
Big Bang DaeSung has recently revealed that he does exchange mobile phone text-message with female idol groups members, which almost put him into a difficult situation.
DaeSung was on the episode of SBS ‘Family Outing’ aired on 23rd November, where he said shily, “I do exchange text messages with female idol group members.”
After he revealed that, other family members had posed him the question “who?” which immediately had him flustered. His answer was “I can’t go without doing that for even a day”.
He then added, “I drew a line to just exchange 2 messages a day.” which invoked more misunderstanding amongst the listening family members. But after making clear that he meant simply receiving encouragement messages as of friends and not of any love relationship, the other family members said, “So you do text-messaging to keep in contact”.
On another hand, on the same episode, DaeSung revealed, “When I shower, and if there isn’t any cold water coming out, I will pretend to fake my voice.” This was a secret only known to himself.

Another “Hana Yori Dango” is in the works. And this time it’s going to be set in China.
Chinese network Hunan TV reported of a possible remake of the famed Japanese comics. According to them, this version will most likely resemble the storyline of the Taiwanese drama “Meteor Garden” and will be set in either Xiamen or Shanghai.
Released in 2001, “Meteor Garden” was the first drama adaptation of “Hana Yori Dango”. This series launched the idol group F4 and its members Jerry Yan, Vaness Wu, Vic Zhou, and Ken Chu into complete stardom. In 2005, Japan produced their own version with boyband member Matsu Jun and Oguri Shun as its lead flower boys. And if you have not heard yet, the latest adaptation if this series is the Korean “Boys Over Flowers” starring Lee Minho and SS501’s Hyunjoong.
As with all the other remakes, producers of this Chinese drama are also looking into tapping popular idol group members to be their F4. Hankyung of Super Junior and Chinese popstar Yu Haoming are thrown into that list while actress Ariel Lin from the hit drama “It started with a Kiss” is rumored to take on the role of Makino/San Cai.

This will be her first Hollywood film, “Hype Nation” a dance music film which Son Dam-bi has been casted in!

The 100th wedding photoshoot for the two new couples of Hwanhee – Hwayobi, Son Dambi – Marco will soon be shown in the 1000th episode of MBC Sunday Sunday Night We Got Married. Both couples had their wedding photoshoot on the 27th to commemorate their 100th day together (time really flies).
Son Dambi and Marco couple will be having a movie poster concept photoshoot which will be a 10 minute long segment with the Hwayobi and Hwanhee couple having their own unique photoshoot in the surroundings of a traditional Hanok (Korean traditional houses) that they had just moved into. The special episode which will be aired on 14th December will also see a special guest who will visit the luxury house where the Ant couple and Jung Hyung Don is residing in.

The former “We Got Married” star was all dressed up and looking pretty in traditional Korean costume for the sageuk drama “Empress Chun Chu”. Sinae once cited her involvement in this drama as one of the reasons why she had to leave MBC’s reality wedding show.
Also in this drama is Choi Sira in the titular role.
“Empress Chun Chu” will be shown on KBS starting January 3 replacing the historical drama “Great King Sejong”.

Newcomer group 2PM had their first performance on Japanese TV programme with SG Wannabe on ‘Mnet Japan ‘KPOP Zone’ on 27th November, and feeling their popularity there.
Mnet Japan introduces music and drama from Korea to Japanese fans in Japan. And ‘K-Pop Zone’ is one section of the programme that introduces popular singers from Korea to fans in Japan.
2PM was in Japan Osaka performance hall performing their 1st album title song ‘10 points out of 10′ and ‘Only You’ in front of about 2000 fans for ‘K-Pop Zone’ that day. The members also peformed rap and dance for the programme and especially for member JunSu’s solo performance of ‘눈의 꽃 (Snow Flower)’ has received overwhelming response from fans.

Following the news about Yoo Bin’s cameo in MBC sitcom That Person Is Coming last night, more has been revealed about her role. Yoo Bin will be doing aerobics with the Wonder Girls Nobody song playing in the sitcom.
According to a staff working on the set at MBC Dream Center, “Yoo Bin will be doing aerobics with the Wonder Girls Nobody song playing in the sitcom. Her character will be the body double/replacement of Lee Young Hee (Seo Young Hee) for a television aerobics program (my guess is JunJin is the PD). Filming will be done on the 1st of next month with Yoo Bin accepting the invitation to appear on the sitcom despite the Wonder Girls busy schedule.”

YG Entertainment revealed recently that Big Bang has brought a total of 36 billion KRW of revenue in year 2008.
In 2008 itself, Big Bang has been busy with albums release, concerts, CF, merchandizing sales etc and they had all brought in about 20 thousand million KRW of revenue. All these together with their online sales adds up to 36 billion KRW.
From these, the revenue from their concert were the highest. With 2 concert performances in Japan, 1 concert performance in Thailand and 3-months concert tour in Korea, they had all add up to 5 billion KRW.
The 2nd major source of their revenue is their product endorsement and album sales. They released a total of 6 albums/singles and 8 CFs which totaled up to 4 billion KRW. The 8 CF were their endorsement for FILA, Baskin Robbin’s, Skoolooks, LG CYON, NII etc.
And for their albums/singles released, they began with the release of their 1st Japanese single ‘How Gee’ in January, and subsequently released 1 live album, and several minialbums and official albums which achieved 470,000 copies in album sales, according to HanTeo Chart.
500,000 album sales copies will be expected by this year-end. And with average selling price of 8 thousand KRW each, they are expected to bring in 0.4 billion KRW in revenue.
Big Bang’s songs and member’s solo songs released online are also said to reached about 4 billion won. Even though there is still no exact final sum for revenue from this category, YG representative said looking from current situation from their mobile phone bell ringtones and mobile phone music download record, it is said to be able to bring in over 4 thousand million KRW in revenue.
Their online album sales brings in about 25% of the annual revenue, totalling up to about 16 billion KRW.
And also, with their every public performance, their merchandize sales also brought in about 0.3∼0.4 billion KRW and for their merchandize sales on YG I-Shop, it is said to have achieved about 2 billion KRW in sales. Other than that, an additional of 1 billion KRW was brought with the related sales when they attend certain events in 2008.
Big Bang has also indirectly triggered economic effect during this year. The clothes that they donned for performance on stage has also brought in sales for boutiques selling them in DongDaeMun. And of the group, member GDragon who also does producing for the group has also brought in revenue in terms of copyright terms for their production.
YG Entertainment said, “Big Bang is not only know for their music but also for their fashion. Their fashion influence those in their teens while their music attracts those in their 20s and 30s, they have a wider consumer market as compared to other groups around.”
On December 3, 2008, BoA will be performing at the “MTV World Presents : BoA Live in New York” at Time Square. As this is a special show dedicated to BoA, it will be held at the TRL(Total Request Live) Studio – a stage all major stars walk through at least once in their career – from 11am to 3pm.
This program will not only feature her live performances but will also present BoA’s history as singer and her current plans and commitments in an interview style. BoA will be performing her new hit song ‘Eat You Up’ as well as a song titled ‘Look Who’s Talking’ which will be included in her first album scheduled to release early next year.
‘BoA Live in New York’ will broadcast across the nation as well as on the massive screen out in Time Square where thousands of pedestrians walk by every day.

Idol group Super Junior recently received great news. Their encore concert was sold out in just 14 minutes since the tickets went on sale and their latest singled rose to ninth place in Japan’s Oricon daily single chart.
Super Junior’s agency, SM Entertainment, announced Thursday that the online ticket sale of the encore performance of the group’s first Asian tour was completed in just 14 minutes. Their first solo concert was held in February of this year and it was a raging success as the members showed off their colorful personalities and rarely seen performances. Super Junior’s “The 1st Asia Tour-Super Show Encore” will be held in the Olympic Park in Seoul for two days from January 3rd to 4th.
The group’s special single “Marry U” was released Wednesday to rise to 9th place on Japan’s most prestigious Oricon daily single chart. SS501 Hyunjoong – Youngsaeg, It’s still difficult ater 5 years
Though they have been like a family after year’s togetherness, they still have awkward moments among them.
In the recent Mnet ‘My Peyiborit’ (Every Wednesday night-11 pm ), it talks about ‘how to break awkwardness between ‘Wonder Girls Yoobin & So Hee’ and also ‘SS501 Hyunjoong & Youngsaeng’ after a 5 years togetherness.
Kyujong, Hyungjoon & Youngsaeng as sub group SS501 member appeared in their 1st recording activity (excluded music shows). While another member Kim Hyun-Joong & Park Jung Min participated through a phone connection and cheered the three members.
Park Jungmin in the middle of his musical practice phoned & said to those 3 “Be Korea’s best three-member group” then he teased them three yet Hyungjoon replied him jokingly said, “Hey! Hey! Ankyeo! ”
On the other hand, the leader Kim Hyunjoong said ” At first, these three should do a hard work with too much interfere from me as a “Big Brother” and he suppressedduring the show ” , he continued : “And now these 3 are too good, later on, 5 of us will be super great together”, saying it with his witty tone.
Kim Hyun-Joong & other members attracted people’s attention while talking in such a courteous tone. In the first episode of KBS Quiz Expedition shown on 23rd November (recorded on 14th), the Wonder Girls and Wheesung were the invited guests on the new variety program as they went to Dongguk University. This was particularly meaningful for Wonder Girls leader, Sun Ye as it was her first visit to Dongguk University as a student after being accepted for the 2009 semester.
Sun Ye was accepted by Dongguk University together with YoonA (So Nyeo Shi Dae) and Joo. She chatted about being accepted into the university and hopes to quickly adapt to life as a student. Thanks to the program, Sun Ye was able to visit her new school campus much earlier ahead of schedule.
KBS Quiz Expedition hosted by Lee Hyuk Jae, Ji Suk Jin and Park Ji Hyun was for high school students who had cleared their examinations and parents who were curious about university life. It was coincidental for Sun Ye that the first episode was recorded at Dongguk University, her new school.
Before recording, Sun Ye met Dongguk University’s principal, Oh Young Kyo. Sun Ye expressed, “This is my first time visiting the campus after passing the entrance exams so I am very excited. But I was even more nervous when I met the principal. Everything will be my first time so I am very excited and anticipating it. I must adapt properly to university after starting school and get along well with my classmates”, as she looks forward to 2009.
So Hee remarked about Sun Ye in university, “She can go camping now so I am very envious of her. I am very curious about it as I have not gone before.”

After 2 members of Super Junior Kyu Hyun and Ryeo Wook contributed on TVXQ’s Mirotic album song “Wish” with Choi Kang Chang Min and Xiah Jun Su, Xiah Jun Su somewhat showed an interest to be a part of Super Junior’s sub-unit by dealing it as a joke. “KRY of Super Junior really got the pitch that I personally adore. TVXQ has five members so there is no chance to form a sub-unit. I want to be a part of KRY not SJ-Happy with Eun Hyuk.”

Rumors have bothered ELF all over Asia about Han Geng being the chosen actor to play the character Hwa Ze Lei on the Chinese Meteor Garden revision as it will ruin his group’s name Super Junior.

Super Junior’s 3rd album is told to release after their Super Show Encore on January 03 and 04, 2009. According to Super Junior’s leader Lee Teuk, their album will include 2 English classic love songs “Ocean Deep” originated by Cliff Richard and “Mandy” originated by Barry Manilow in Korean version.
Lee Teuk gave a little sample of the song but never sang it in Korean to crave the fans of what the English hit songs would sound in Korean. “I like the part of the song “Ocean Deep” because I used to call myself “angel” and I am the one playing the piano of this. We Got Married is now going through a revamp with Season 2 being planned for 2009 and the next big change will involve scrapping the entire studio recording and together with it, the current 4 MCs on the show, Lee Hyuk Jae, Park Myung Soo, Kang Soo Jung and Jung Hyung Don will also leave.
Starting from next week (7th December), We Got Married will not have any MCs hosting the show in a studio (means no more studio audience also) anymore. The show will focus entirely on the couples themselves (means 2 or more additional minutes, what’s the difference?). According to MBC, they hope that this change will be refreshing for viewers and also save a little on production costs. This means that the MCs appeared on the show for the last time on 30th November. Other known changes include the departure of JoongBo couple in mid-December with a new couple replacing them after they depart.
Mirotic Among Others Deemed Inappropriate For Youths
After judging that Rain’s Rainism was harmful and detrimental to youths last week, the Commission of Youth Protection has acted again by labelling DBSK’s Mirotic, Solbi’s Do It Do It, etc in the same category as Rainism. This has created an uproar once again in Korea which takes effect this week.
According to sources, the Commission of Youth Protection usually examines around 100 songs every month to see if they are harmful or detrimental to youths in Korea. But this is the first time that their scope is targeted specifically towards popular mainstream singers in Korea right now. In the last month, among the 110 songs that they have examined, 32 of them were Korean songs which was a new record in recent years. The reason for banning Mirotic was the same as Rainism in that part of the lyrics were inappropriate.
Hot idol group TVXQ has won a Gold Award at the 50th Japan Record Awards. Hailed as the most prestigious music award in Japan, the Japan Record Awards selected 12 artists for Gold Award this year. TVXQ got the nod for their 23rd single in Japan, “Doushite Kimi wo Suki ni Natte Shimattan Darou? (Why Did I Fall in Love with You?)” Other artists honored include EXILE, C-ute, Kumi Koda, and w-inds.

SM.ENTERTAINMENT LEGAL COURT CASE AGAINST THE BANNING OF DBSK’S 4TH ALBUM FOR UNDER 19 .
DBSK’s 4th album was put under the 19 year age banned by the Youth Safety Association on November, however SM.ENT will starting next week file a legal case against this to the Justice Court/ District Court.
DBSK’s Management SM Entertainment (SM), quoted by Money Today’s Star New : ” We will go through administrative measures against the suspension by filing a case next week to the District Court” ” We have been getting ready for this legal case on the 2nd “
” We have agreed to release a clean version of ‘Jumon – Mirotic’ by the administrative order, but this is something we do not agree with and feel this is entirely unfair. Therefore we have decided to file a case to the court against the administration’s displosure. “
Fans went crazy after the news spread out that Super Junior-H and Super Junior-M are switching members temporarily to grant the request of Kyu Hyun’s family for his check up to be done in Seoul. It is confirmed that Ye Sung will replace Kyu Hyun for a week while Kyu Hyun is in Seoul. The truth is that Hee Chul has been preparing for a new show ‘Band of Brothers’ set to air in January on Mnet.
He had to learn how to play the drums under the guidance of famous drum trainer Ahn Seong Wook amidst his busy schedule. Not only so, he has to train up to 3 hours everyday, leaving him with aches all over his back. And the Elves will definitely be heartbroken to see this.
Note: This might be refering to season two of Band of Brothers.
Mnet ‘Band of Brothers’ will feature Super Junior KangIn and HeeChul, and Jaei and Jung Mo in a tribute band. KangIn and HeeChul who do not know how to play the bass guitar and drums, will have to perform together with Jaei and Jung Mo.
